Success requires hard work and loads of it. The things most wanted in life have never come easy for anyone.
Are you willing to put in the necessary hard work needed to achieve it?
Are you ready to push past fear and doubt to have it?
Do you agree to leave your comfort zone and outperform the norm?
Inspiration from the post came from one of my favorite books: High-Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way
Let’s start there; why are you willing to make such a sacrifice? Who does it benefit? Is it worth it? You’ve got to ask yourself these difficult questions. Because it’s going to get hard and you will feel like crying and giving up. You will feel like throwing in the towel and going back to the life you used to live. Unbothered and without challenge but lacking purpose and passion.
Knowing why you are doing something and getting honest with what it means to you will keep you motivated to press on during those tough times. Let’s be honest; most times, “why” you want something does not change. Some people give up to soon. Mostly due to criticism, cost, effort, failure, obstacles, time, persuasion, or rejection.
Your “why” should be strong enough to get you started, keep you motivated and encourage you to keep going when times are difficult. You have to decide for yourself that where I am now is not where I want to be, and I refuse to stay here.
If your Dreams don’t scare you, you are not dreaming big enough!
I once heard it said that most people are motivated by one of two things. Inspiration or Desperation! Unfortunately, it’s usually out of desperation that change occurs. This can apply to anything addiction, finances, health issues, failing grades, loss, relationships
As humans, we want to automatically seek pleasure, avoid pain, and do what is easy. It requires less work, less thinking, and less effort. Don’t believe me. Examine the decisions you make on a daily basis. See if the motive behind most of those choices doesn’t usually fall into one of those categories. You’ve got to push past those feelings of fear, doubt, and laziness to be someone you have never been before. To ultimately achieve something you have never achieved before. Remember what got you here will NOT get you there.
